Elissa Resnick, MPH
Ms. Elissa Resnick is a Senior Research Specialist in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Since joining UIC in 2008, she has been involved in national studies to examine environmental and policy-related factors that influence physical activity, nutrition, and tobacco use. Most recently, her research has focused on tobacco use among adolescents and tobacco policies in low income countries. Elissa is interested in the role that policy and media advocacy can play in improving public health, and is the author of the textbook, Marketing Public Health: Strategies to Promote Social Change.
Elissa earned her MPH with a concentration in social and behavioral sciences from Boston University.
